OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION: Imagine a divine, cold, blue, driving waterfall.
This fragrance captures the feel of the pose waterfall as you bend at the waist
and let your arms cradle each other in the crook of your arm and you rock to
and fro. Again a relaxing pose which restores you as you perform it. Indigo musk and aquatic musk mingle
with an ozone note. This one is very
dry, non floral or foody and exceptionally serene.
BEFORE I SMELL: I don’t have a success with aquatic scents. When
I was a teenager I loved them maybe that’s why I keep sampling that kind of scents.
FROM THE DECANT/BOTTLE: Ozone
WET ON SKIN: Ozone and a sweet note as well
DRY DOWN: I don’t know why I am still getting that sweet note…
FINAL THOUGHTS: I don’t
like this. It’s like a sweet hand soap. Like
the ones which are made for little girls. Maybe, I will use my sample as a home
scent in my burner...
I think it's challenging for companies to make aquatic scents without making them smell artificial. It's too bad this one didn't work for you! I like Selkie by Haus of Gloi for an ocean-type of scent, though it's not ozone-y. Liber Vix also said Solstice Scents makes a good ocean scent called Tenebrous Mist :)
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήIt must be very difficult indeed. We often associate these scents with cleaning products or air-fresheners. So, an aquatic perfume is as you said a challenge! I love so many perfumes from possets that is ok that I don’t like a few! It was only a sample so no big deal! Thank you for the recommendation. I will try these two definitely in the future! Selkie would be great in a scrub too! I hope they will make it again!
ΔιαγραφήI am not a fan of aquatic scents either - they always just either smell fake or smell of nothing on me. And the ocean ones always smell kind of fishy/briny, but I don't know if they are really smelling like that or if it's just my brain making that association.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήOur brains do tricky things with scents. Once I had a perfume that to my mind it was smelling like a lentil soup! I couldn't wear it.
