PERFUME: Moon Drenched Magnolias
COMPANY: Possets
AVAILABILITY: Summer 2010 (Limited
Edition)
OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION: So lovely you could
lick these off the tree. Beautiful creamy almost fruity magnolia blossoms.
Lemonesque (but you wouldn't say 'lemon' when you smell it), with the softest
of musks, a sweet tang but no sharpness.
BEFORE I SMELL: I love the scent of magnolias. I haven’t smell
the real flower thought as it isn’t a common tree in Greece. I would love to smell a
magnolia tree someday.
FROM THE DECANT/BOTTLE: This is not what I expected. If I
didn’t know that this had magnolia in it maybe, I wouldn’t recognize it. I get a lemony musk and a green floral note. It
reminds me of fresh cut daisies.
WET ON SKIN: Definitely in a fruity floral category. On my
skin the fruity notes are: candied lemon peel and aromatic\perfumy peach. I don’t
know if it has actually peach notes in it. It’s not a strong note. I also get a
hint melon. The first time I put it on the lemon was more apparent to me and
not the other fruits.
DRY DOWN: It’s mostly lemony musk and magnolia. A hint of chamomile too. Maybe, it's just my skin.
FINAL THOUGHTS: I use this fragrance very often especially at
the morning when I have to go somewhere for a job or for a lesson. It wakes you
up and it stays close to the skin.

This does sound like a perfect morning or work/school perfume. I love the smell (and taste!) of chamomile. I will drink chamomile tea with no sugar or honey because I just like it plain! I know it's weird! I would like a perfume that smelled like chamomile, I just know it! :)
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήIt's not weird at all! I drink straight chamomile tea too! Not everyday though. Only when I am feeling tired or stressed. I use it also to wash by dog's belly because she is very sensitive. Chamomile has so many antibacterial properties!
ΔιαγραφήThat's awesome that you enjoy straight chamomile tea too! I only thought I was weird because there's a tea store here called Teavana, and another customer said she liked plain chamomile; and the last working there wrinkled her nose and thought that it was gross.
ΔιαγραφήI love learning about natural things you can do for medicine. Like chamomile. Or have you heard of echinacea? It's supposed to be really good when you're sick, or when you get hurt. I had a friend that wrapped her dog's paw in echinacea for a couple weeks and it completely healed.
This was very unprofessional from her part. I hate when they do that! The other day, I asked very politely a shop assistan if they had a dark purple lipstick and she said to me: But why anyone will want to wear something like that? It would be awful!
ΔιαγραφήI see echinacea products on drugstores a lot lately but I have never tried them. Maybe next time!
The fruit puts me off, but I LOVE the smell of magnolias. They're dangerous though - the petals fall and they are really slippery. When I've lived nearby magnolia trees, I've almost taken a tumble a few times!
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήOhh I didn't know that about magnolias! I didn't expect it to be so fruity but I like it for everyday use.
