Bpal- Roses, Pearls and Diamonds

I feel like I have neglected my general catalog or permanent scents. Sometimes are hidden gems among them. Last night for bed I used Roses, Pearls and Diamonds from Bpal and I thought to do a mini review.

PERFUME: Roses, Pearls and Diamonds

COMPANY: BPAL

AVAILABILITY: General catalog scent in the Marchen category.

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:Red roses, dazzling crystalline musks, and pearlescent coconut-tinged orris.

In the Marchen section of the general catalog scents Beth inspired by fairy tales creates beautiful scents. I know some of you really love short stories so go to that section and read all of them here.

This particular story is so lovely and romantic and sweet!!!

FROM THE DECANT/BOTTLE: Orris and “clean” musk feels like there is a drop of peppermint in it.

WET ON SKIN: Fresh red roses, still wet from the morning dew and orris. Fresh coconut fresh sweeten up the whole!

DRY DOWN: If you don't like orris probably you won't like this because that note stays from start to finish and I really like it! It has amazing throw and staying power. Evan my boyfriend has commented on it.

FINAL THOUGHTS: A keeper!

HALLOWEEN PERFUMES! Bpal- The black apple of Saturn

PERFUME: The Black Apple of Saturn

COMPANY: BPAL

AVAILABILITY: Halloween limited edition 2011

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:Dried Arkansas black apple, opoponax, cypress, myrrh, tobacco absolute, quince, black musk, and galbanum.

BEFORE I SMELL: I don't always like apple scents especially if they are the clean kind. Although, sometimes I can't resist, it's the fruit of sin after all.

FROM THE DECANT/BOTTLE: Flesh of baked apple and sweet raisins... A night garden with apple trees and burning incense...

WET ON SKIN: very sexy and musky. It's a different take on a fruity perfume. I don't smell the tobacco absolute.

DRY DOWN: The resins take over, I get a little bit of tobacco note and it's the sweet type, very nice. As it dries down I get more galbanum . It doesn't change that much but it has amazing staying power. I put it last night and I could smell it till the morning

FINAL THOUGHTS: Very well blended and different from other apple scents. I wish I had another decant

Mimosa, neroli, coconut

Hi guys!
First of all thank you so much for all the kind words and the support! It means a lot to me and it makes me really happy!

As you know I have started blending my own perfumes and I have received very good feedback from the ladies that they have tried them.

This one in particular is my best seller. Not that I sell large quantities but even 10 is a lot for me because I bottle 10-12 perfumes every time to keep them fresh. 

I had started blending this scent for one soap I used to make. A lovely customer of mine,Fotini,loved this scent so much and she wanted it as a perfume and I thought it was time for me to give it a go with perfume oils.

When you smell this from the bottle it has a lemony vibe mingled with the tropical coconut. The real deal happens when you put it on. It's tropical, sweet and zesty at the same time. 

It's more of a Spring like fragrance when the Bergamot trees are in bloom. Perfect for a day walk outside  or for when you need something fresh to start your day.
If you love Neroli this one it's for you!

A little goes a long way as it's very consentrated!
Unfortunately, this one will be limited.

Hi guys! I have great news to share!

I have finally opened my etsy shop Iris Soaps! Currently I have 2 perfumes up for sale.

Vanilla Sandalwood which is a sexy vanilla scent with a hint of pepper and powdery sandalwood drydown. This lasts all day on me. I will rename this one soon.

Mimosa-Neroli-Coconut it's exactly what the name implies a tropical-floral perfume. 

The next day or two I will list:

One thousand and one nights this is all about the warmth and abiance of telling a story:

ginger cookies,vanilla, oats and spiced milk.

Nyxtolouloudo single note: This one it means flower of the night in Greek. It's a flower that blooms only at night and has a heading and very rich odor.

All of them are in 10ml roll-on bottles in a coconut oil base.

HALLOWEEN PERFUMES! The Ghastly Garden-Bpal

PERFUME: The Ghastly garden

COMPANY: BPAL

AVAILABILITY: Halloween limited edition, The Haunted House 2007

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:Overgrown oleander, marshy water hemlock, the sugared nectar of carnivorous blooms, putrefying wet greenery, oozing sap, crushed rosary peas, withered climbing roses, and nightshade berries.

I bought a bottle of this on eBay a couple of months ago because it was cheap and I really wanted a green scent!

FROM THE BOTTLE: Tropical white flowers, night stock and a hint of spice. Fresh leaves and wet soil. It's sweet and green and it definitely resemblances a night garden.

WET ON SKIN:Sweet juicy berries. I was expecting that this could be greener but it's not. On me is most wet flowers and berries.

Then, I smell the grass note again!

I think there is a lily note in that too or maybe a carnation because I get a light spice that these scents sometimes have.

The rose isn't strong but I get the powdery aspect of the rose and not the exact note.

DRY DOWN: Stays a green floral all the way and it has good longevity too but a little through.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I am glad I got a bottle unsniffed because I am wearing this a lot especially in the mornings when I have shopping to do etc.

It's a classic and feminine perfume. Don't let the sap and the greenery scare you!

HALLOWEEN PERFUMES! Ghost Farts- Possets

PERFUME: Ghost Fart

COMPANY: Possets

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:Oh good grief! It must be a ghost fart! This annual blend is back to haunt us all again. Ethereal, very unusual, and about as easy to explain as spiritual flatulence. Actually, it's real nice stuff and you really should try it, but don't try to explain it. Foody gourmand.

This perfume is one of the most popular blends that Possets has and it appears every Halloween. This is why I really wanted to try it when I was a possets newbie. It has just the most hilarious name ever! I don't really remember from which year my decant is from. I think it's 2010.

FROM THE DECANT/BOTTLE: Cherry, almond and musk.

WET ON SKIN: This goes foodie! Like almond cake. Sadly, it reminds me a cherry syrup that I used when I was a child. When I had first tried it I didn't like it at all, it was too much cherry. Now after some years of aging it's more of the musk and the almonds.

DRY DOWN: It has very good staying power but I just can't get over the cherry syrup comparison in my head.

FINAL THOUGHTS: It's not for me. But I can't only imagine how fun it would be if while I was wearing this someone asks me what perfume I wear!

Every September Bpal releases a scent dedicated to Beth's and Ted's daughter Lilith who has her birthday. I found this very sweet and lovely! Usually these scents are very sweet inspired by desserts, Lilith's life and her preferences. This year they even had a whole update for their child's birthday! Usually, the Labels of these perfumes show pictures with Lilith or Lilith's drawings!

This years offerings include:

BLUE LOLLIPOS: Blueberry-swirled blue lollipops!

BUTTERFLIES, FLOWERS AND JEWELS ATTENDING:white patchouli with provence rose, delicate freesia, pink tuberose, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, butterfly musk, vanilla orchid, and delicate spices.

THE FUTURE BALL:Crystalline white musk, Somalian olibanum, smoky benzoin, Damascus rose, dark myrrh, sacred sandalwood, life everlasting, rock rose, and gummy bear fingerprint residue.

LILITH'S FEEL BETTER FLOWERS: carnations,lavender, honey ,ginger, aloe ,blessed thistles ,chamomile,chocolate peppermint.

LITTLE PYTHIA: vanilla frankincense and rose champaca with a little bit of red licorice

TARANTULA FASCINATOR:fuzzy cacao-drenched hazelnut with hay absolute, black pepper, and nutmeg, laced with stripes of wild plum and white sandalwood.

MARIPOSITA

FROM THE DECANT/BOTTLE: Sweet strawberries and lavender.

WET ON SKIN: The lavender is strong. I never thought that it will go well with strawberries but definitely does! The fruit here is more like a hard candy strawberry than a fresh one. It's not soapy but it is clean. The honey it's soft and flowery not the heavy type. Like there is a note of daisy or a similar flower.

DRY DOWN: The lavender calms down and I am left with freshly washed skin and over ripe strawberries. Very innocent and calming.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I love it! If you like candy like perfumes and Lavender I am sure you will love it too! Too bud that isn't available anymore:(
